In the first part of this series we explored how many artists were also writers and how writing informed their visual art, focusing on Louise Bourgeois, Agnes Martin and Leonora Carrington. In this second part we focus on very contemporary examples of how writing has become entwined in art practices through the lens of Jenny Holzer, Yoko Ono, and Tracey Emin.
Each session will be an introduction to the artist, their work and their relationship to writing, finishing with writing exercises informed by each artist’s work.
Yoko Ono - October 6th - 6:30 - 8pm
Tracey Emin - October 13th - 6:30 -8pm
Jenny Holzer - October 20th - 6:30 - 8pm
£50 for all three sessions
£18 each for one
Please reach out for concession prices and I will try to reduce the rate where I can.
Each session is recorded and sent out after the lecture.
